Hi all! I went into an Angry Birds mood and couldn't resist using these fimo pieces!<br />
<br />
I used OPI's Fiercely Fiona and Face Shop's RD301 as base colors for this nail art.<br />
<br />
To see a swatch of Fiercely Fiona you can click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/giraffe-nails-opi-fiercely-fiona-with.html">here</a>. I also did another nail art not too long ago with lots of <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/08/yellowy-sunshine-goodness.html">Yellowy Goodness</a>. And of course as a base for an <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/04/happy-easter.html">Easter nail art</a> last year.<br />
<br />
For a swatch of Face Shop's RD301 click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/face-shop-rd301-with-konad-m57.html">here</a>. And I also did <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/strawberry-nails.html">Strawberry nails</a> using this polish. <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/07/strawberry-nails-variation-ii.html">Twice. </a> Before going to the Harry Potter exhibition I had <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/07/harry-potter-nails.html">Harry Potter nails</a> with this polish too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMh1qwOeyfuso18uYpwPEV-hwxxvm452a3Tsg2Vv-ITUp26GIM1SbzF1y93qSU_DT-CAkV2Cgep0XpuOnWv_dK8G0SfyHtRXTAuXtNxfeS-l3p8DqOcf82Fw7bm0tO03N9VnAFkRqgX4MF/s1600/2012-07-27-08.52.28.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMh1qwOeyfuso18uYpwPEV-hwxxvm452a3Tsg2Vv-ITUp26GIM1SbzF1y93qSU_DT-CAkV2Cgep0XpuOnWv_dK8G0SfyHtRXTAuXtNxfeS-l3p8DqOcf82Fw7bm0tO03N9VnAFkRqgX4MF/s320/2012-07-27-08.52.28.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The picture at the top of the pose was in the sun, and the one here was taken in my room. As you can see the yellow really seems to change with lighting from a bright yellow to a soft pastel yellow. My fimo pieces fell off pretty much within the next few days. I do have nail glue and you can use nail glue for fimo pieces if you like but I find it nearly impossible to remove. Haha.<br />
<br />
If you would like to see how to apply fimo pieces, click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/03/juicy-orange-nail-art.html">here</a>.<br />

Hi guys today will just be a really short post on what I did eons ago. (trust me I have been doing my nails!)<br />
<br />
Anyways I decided to do a quick Fimo nail art using the chick fimo pieces. They are adorable! And as base color I used Faceshops bright blue (BL602). You can click here to see how I used this as a <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/03/rainbow-nails.html">base for rainbow nails</a>, and also as a <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/07/face-shop-bl602-with-opi-silver-shatter.html">base for silver shatter</a>. I also used this in a more elaborate nail art for last year's <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/04/happy-easter.html">Easter</a>.<br />
<br />
That's all for today! I do have loads more...but I'm swamped with work! Ahhhhh :(<br />
<br />
Till next time, Byee~Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-50161099521361910712012-08-09T23:29:00.002+08:002012-08-09T23:29:38.543+08:00Yellowy Sunshine Goodness!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi all! This nail art occurred purely by accident but I must admit I do like it. Pluses of having long nails is that you can get to do french tips without must difficulty (ie the polish won't get onto your cuticles heh).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3URQxLV12Gas373yQZWL8IKV9NHK9lQSyhi4Cbkx1YWMcExgJhOWDiO4yzRY6wvqxqlb-WKb9SNyB7r6B1AgAwcgm1Yd94bOr2NKCJhNGArFy5R-ag8vd8Hf_tuRm15S3J-LHrc0mtdCc/s1600/2012-07-07-23.37.07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3URQxLV12Gas373yQZWL8IKV9NHK9lQSyhi4Cbkx1YWMcExgJhOWDiO4yzRY6wvqxqlb-WKb9SNyB7r6B1AgAwcgm1Yd94bOr2NKCJhNGArFy5R-ag8vd8Hf_tuRm15S3J-LHrc0mtdCc/s320/2012-07-07-23.37.07.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
So this started off innocently enough with OPI's Fiercely Fiona as base and China Glaze's Sunshine as a slight glitter gradient tip. You can click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/giraffe-nails-opi-fiercely-fiona-with.html">here</a> for a swatch on Fiercely Fiona. You can also click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/04/happy-easter.html">here</a> to see how I used Fiercely Fiona with other colors to create an Easter themed nail art.<br />
<br />
I have never used Sunshine from China Glaze as a swatch before. At least, I've never had it on long enough to take pictures with. Truth is, it was just too sheer to be used on it's own. So I'm only going to use it for layering. You can click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/02/tiger-nails-d.html">here</a> to see a swatch I did with a wonderful glittery orange that I bought together with Sunshine though :) It's awesome because it's got tiger stripes in it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHtlj4nG1Tdvb26d9lyrW4ZPi11WxM52ss-vnR0vTWmVUjcYMNzqHXXGLeLu9oOTrUEcpmrwbeBQYn4K3-AsWFOyUBcYt1lNDMCjvdWttLOqQjd0eVIRUYoaQuNEXY2devqe_YHwgz4Atr/s1600/2012-07-07-23.37.16.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHtlj4nG1Tdvb26d9lyrW4ZPi11WxM52ss-vnR0vTWmVUjcYMNzqHXXGLeLu9oOTrUEcpmrwbeBQYn4K3-AsWFOyUBcYt1lNDMCjvdWttLOqQjd0eVIRUYoaQuNEXY2devqe_YHwgz4Atr/s320/2012-07-07-23.37.16.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I love the Sunshine glitter on this one because they have a slight holo effect which is really subtle. You can see the flash of pink on my index finger above.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuwo5yvy7_BAT2GwWD8g42vCPob3FGtlu41FQBRbpn5vtRymJW_Ln-GI1DJnHl-emObOLd4Qxfiiys6bWAxZmAS5-1U22VROOhBrVDD6R0GFmNRupW-4MmVZfA2BVmucRIQ2kq5Qqlok1J/s1600/2012-07-08-18.53.29.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuwo5yvy7_BAT2GwWD8g42vCPob3FGtlu41FQBRbpn5vtRymJW_Ln-GI1DJnHl-emObOLd4Qxfiiys6bWAxZmAS5-1U22VROOhBrVDD6R0GFmNRupW-4MmVZfA2BVmucRIQ2kq5Qqlok1J/s320/2012-07-08-18.53.29.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
And here you can see more glitter it really depends on how you see it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv9mynWiNd1dd9gFDU0gBuh1nKTohYVNChE21SvStxUyYpMSQ5pvPnNGY248qhyphenhyphenfqmo52TYplEXjBB-cqQ00scIq7O67lqV0U9J5ERzZgW0HxV6PzQRCoiU9DjlSeyZtnBUjFiJ1yDc5y7/s1600/2012-07-08-18.53.38.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv9mynWiNd1dd9gFDU0gBuh1nKTohYVNChE21SvStxUyYpMSQ5pvPnNGY248qhyphenhyphenfqmo52TYplEXjBB-cqQ00scIq7O67lqV0U9J5ERzZgW0HxV6PzQRCoiU9DjlSeyZtnBUjFiJ1yDc5y7/s320/2012-07-08-18.53.38.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Can you see the green flashes on my middle finger? It does have more effect in real life. Trying to catch these elusive glitters is an exhausting job.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKQWxTUsTjYkrZrkoiesqQ4r5QEwEpyzqE2D2vFjBQH-Hg4RUeSO_lnJpVFKf8xfcY02w5MOTPH-UdQIUzQxxanfNwwPZ-GqD1V5Xib-iqEL-Bd2NBHF9nMBWavc6OAQ3MHLz167f5P7Vk/s1600/2012-07-08-18.58.35.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKQWxTUsTjYkrZrkoiesqQ4r5QEwEpyzqE2D2vFjBQH-Hg4RUeSO_lnJpVFKf8xfcY02w5MOTPH-UdQIUzQxxanfNwwPZ-GqD1V5Xib-iqEL-Bd2NBHF9nMBWavc6OAQ3MHLz167f5P7Vk/s320/2012-07-08-18.58.35.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Eventually though I gave up on being subtle and covered the whole nail with Sunshine. Hurray for glitter!<br />

This is what it looks like while layered over Fiercely Fiona. </div>

I loved it so much that after a few days I decided to french tip it when the tips wore off. I chose a not-so-loud dusky gold. I forgot which brand...I think it was BK but I have yet to do a swatch on it.<br />

Hi all! This is short because it's a simple nail art. As mentioned in the blog post <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/07/fish-braid-nails.html">here</a> I was not completely happy with Hole Hearted from All That Glitters. So I couldn't resist giving it another try this time with a base that will show off both the black and white glitter pieces.<br />
<br />
Gotta admit...Still not a huge fan. Too much clear base instead of the glitter and I had to put two very thick coats to get that many glitter pieces. Maybe it's just me. I'm dreading the day Hole Hearted is half-used and I find all of the glitter pieces stuck at the bottom.<br />
<br />

Right, as a base color I had Bogie from China Glaze, which was a mistake, it made everything that much darker and ancient looking. You can <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/china-glaze-bogie.html">click here</a> for a swatch.<br />
<br />
Then going diagonally I used a no brand polish that was a present from my cousin. (It's Rainbow brand I don't even know if Sasa still sells them it's ancient)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtdYmfBssjxAMxw5QX84rtPSNewljAXKWN7nUWnhbxfIA8IEJ7G0czzqdISEtCD8B6PM2UQqP1DctJe5vePPmv7Asky4zltF9preWY0cIl0GQ98IYCg0VMbLcQmHNwF2paEDbOsIlFAKkv/s1600/2012-06-29-23.55.45.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtdYmfBssjxAMxw5QX84rtPSNewljAXKWN7nUWnhbxfIA8IEJ7G0czzqdISEtCD8B6PM2UQqP1DctJe5vePPmv7Asky4zltF9preWY0cIl0GQ98IYCg0VMbLcQmHNwF2paEDbOsIlFAKkv/s320/2012-06-29-23.55.45.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
To top it all off I went diagonally again with Nubar's Purple Beach. I have no idea why I sandwiched that pink between two deep purples...it just makes the whole nail art so dark. You can <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/11/nubar-duo-chromes-glitter-gal-3d-holos.html">click here</a> for a swatch of Purple Beach.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1njI5SoWrMhl_WNnoR95zK9lymJesvw4DGtor3-qPx2X9m94Ft14aRCtGvCaJeQiCyYg2J7jSrYgtksOFcKknmQdx7Qd1rApNh8i-joCsA85AqKPIK2VJtrz2cabXZ5-FfaeP4zOjzotc/s1600/2012-06-29-23.56.29.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1njI5SoWrMhl_WNnoR95zK9lymJesvw4DGtor3-qPx2X9m94Ft14aRCtGvCaJeQiCyYg2J7jSrYgtksOFcKknmQdx7Qd1rApNh8i-joCsA85AqKPIK2VJtrz2cabXZ5-FfaeP4zOjzotc/s320/2012-06-29-23.56.29.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Then after that just border the lines of the colors with rhinestones. This actually allows you more freedom in freehanding. The rhinestones would cover up any wonky lines you might have accidentally made. But putting so many is such hard work...so I only did it on my thumb and ring finger. You can <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/search/label/Rhinestones">click here</a> to see all the different nail art designs I've done using rhinestones :)<br />
<br />
As you can see my thumb's color lines are parallel to each other as opposed to dividing my nails into 3 triangles like my other fingers. You can really do it any way you want it as long as your brush is thin enough :)<br />
<br />
That's all for today, sorry my hiatus took longer than expected :/ But! <div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi everyone! What with the Harry Potter exhibition being in Singapore and all, I decided to do some Harry Potter inspired nails :) I had a Slytherin one, while my friend did Gryffindor's. I also managed to do a pictorial! This is easier than it looks, really and all you need is a steady hand and a calm mind. Heh. Here goes! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJa46n2mXlARac3ZqP6glSc-k2DdWS86vqkaeqlUoH6RfUId_KqrnPFtYqkg887u63Jk8Mi6PkurHinnMIC0HtJuJwOwcpGoH0wFYQkQMCXYYMOhyz3CzvsMM3XzFerSsgwlQ1en_sqwrj/s1600/2012-06-26-11.43.58.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJa46n2mXlARac3ZqP6glSc-k2DdWS86vqkaeqlUoH6RfUId_KqrnPFtYqkg887u63Jk8Mi6PkurHinnMIC0HtJuJwOwcpGoH0wFYQkQMCXYYMOhyz3CzvsMM3XzFerSsgwlQ1en_sqwrj/s320/2012-06-26-11.43.58.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
1) Using any color of your choice, carefully paint half of your nail lengthwise.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMP0gfBn8eZIGBu6RWjAyc7bfN8nMy48EfxMZr3qAlub4JD_2KkC8y_qMzyd69nzkBfAVXFpvv-y5lWmI_MDEeXpZUfNISkfGFazfguINStdYT4zR5R45dHcPHo_6L1deLtPLDrYIzYiEN/s1600/2012-06-26-11.50.45.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMP0gfBn8eZIGBu6RWjAyc7bfN8nMy48EfxMZr3qAlub4JD_2KkC8y_qMzyd69nzkBfAVXFpvv-y5lWmI_MDEeXpZUfNISkfGFazfguINStdYT4zR5R45dHcPHo_6L1deLtPLDrYIzYiEN/s320/2012-06-26-11.50.45.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
2) Using another color (I used a golden green instead of a silver because I felt it complemented the forest green better) fill in the other half of the nail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg95ZOQMNfSNvsg6QWvL2qBQaI23OFLBxQ2q8gRR9gHq-_uIS7s_d32iI_xoGOMo4Tz4reBhXFZqA8_th0AiVXOKbBFLM2QhLV5ZSh6I_CPPtdBGnHJt-VK9riP0rflh8ZRCBFQE2RMxhEl/s1600/2012-06-26-11.58.55.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg95ZOQMNfSNvsg6QWvL2qBQaI23OFLBxQ2q8gRR9gHq-_uIS7s_d32iI_xoGOMo4Tz4reBhXFZqA8_th0AiVXOKbBFLM2QhLV5ZSh6I_CPPtdBGnHJt-VK9riP0rflh8ZRCBFQE2RMxhEl/s320/2012-06-26-11.58.55.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
3) Then using the other color (golden green) paint the top half of the forest green.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCrNVEl6V_NUWyNPZWFhZluP6RK3fE8eODqwzGxkYwMmr8_nTuz6cZNhA0m2DehLa8XumBMQgPglRvnFwfHk3C12tDiKT-sg84IH61ga2dc2ivvbv442P772vteHRgh_Oy5pDUIG7Zh2LZ/s1600/2012-06-26-12.10.25.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCrNVEl6V_NUWyNPZWFhZluP6RK3fE8eODqwzGxkYwMmr8_nTuz6cZNhA0m2DehLa8XumBMQgPglRvnFwfHk3C12tDiKT-sg84IH61ga2dc2ivvbv442P772vteHRgh_Oy5pDUIG7Zh2LZ/s320/2012-06-26-12.10.25.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
4) Using forest green, go over the top half of golden green, giving you the pattern you see on my middle, ring and little finger.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0PqBhEya43upakrY8SACkHwWnMBQnosc9zR50N7isabEjcFNmA8LyHfebjHIfHdHK-YZ0EyXTloPM4yCn4PD0W9tMbVXh0JT7MpnBBA69BGUrL9b6P1uea1ZH6-Z4ellMagSq4tZvfI-R/s1600/2012-06-26-12.18.32.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0PqBhEya43upakrY8SACkHwWnMBQnosc9zR50N7isabEjcFNmA8LyHfebjHIfHdHK-YZ0EyXTloPM4yCn4PD0W9tMbVXh0JT7MpnBBA69BGUrL9b6P1uea1ZH6-Z4ellMagSq4tZvfI-R/s320/2012-06-26-12.18.32.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
5) Optional: Paint a top coat and carefully apply a rhinestone (I used light green) in the middle of the nail. This allows you to cover up any imperfections. For example, if the centre of the nail is not perfectly right-angled.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY_IeM_TZN4ptMKoRWFPTO-9GJZE-PqNrpTkv0cBHxWPzqt5zCaJrflLRjN2-HZLxoS-8RUwZs0HxXKkBKCOibeN-593_d7hGgH2bEfFYQm-iO0EgwCHWybM8u7pHystJqFbubWbsZXAql/s1600/2012-06-26-12.41.31.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY_IeM_TZN4ptMKoRWFPTO-9GJZE-PqNrpTkv0cBHxWPzqt5zCaJrflLRjN2-HZLxoS-8RUwZs0HxXKkBKCOibeN-593_d7hGgH2bEfFYQm-iO0EgwCHWybM8u7pHystJqFbubWbsZXAql/s320/2012-06-26-12.41.31.jpg" width="320" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnkgOR7rrlI3cFDPzOQ8uGFNn5VXxUedtHflEJFnJhVHqSqwkXjFLleV3TTcCtUamRQivi_diWMYNM0bES-5T5eASktgHGFEoTsCEXNXQDrtle4tCYeaLK0sHp7tWgj7olvVviPNgwtyYw/s1600/2012-06-26-18.27.13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div>
6) Optional: If you like, you can place a few 3D steel balls along the lines where the colors meet. I felt it made the design too messy so I stopped after doing 3 nails. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hi all! This time I got adventurous and did some free hand nail art :) Also I wanted to try out my new All That Glitters polish, Hole Hearted. It's a chunky black glitter polish in a clear base with white hearts :) You can see it layered over China Glaze's Millennium on my ring finger in the photo.<br />
<br />
To match Hole Hearted, I went for a silver, black and white theme. the wonderfully reflective silver was China Glaze's Millennium. Click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/06/classy-nails-china-glaze-millenium-and.html">here</a>, <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/08/china-glaze-millenium-with-konad-plate.html">here</a> and <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/05/china-glaze-millenium-and-m57-konad.html">here</a> to see how I used this polish as a base in nail art. Click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/face-shop-rd301-with-konad-m57.html">here</a> to see how I've used Millennium as a konading polish and <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/05/flower-french-tip.html">here</a> to see how I've used it as a french tip :) <br />
<br />
The white for the braid was from Etude House. I have used this in a <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/02/hello-kitty-nail-art.html">Hello Kitty nail art</a> previously, and also <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/02/hi-everyone-its-been-donkey-years-since.html">as a base</a> for a splotchy cow nail art. <br />
<br />
The black was a random brand that I bought online and have yet to do a review on it heh. <br />

The fishtail braid is surprisingly easy to do and the only thing I dislike about it is that Millennium is so reflective that under the sun I can only see the black standing out against the white. Also, the angle of my braid could have been smaller. I made a right mess of my cuticles while doing this, so there was no pictorial (sorry!) but rest assured! The next couple of posts will have pictorials in them!<br />
<br />
Here comes the review on All That Glitters. I bought it because there was a huge hoo-ha about it and I do admit it does look wonderful in swatches, so I had high hopes for it. I was a little disappointed, the glitter was too heavy and it fell from the brush, leaving a whole load of clear polish and not many chunks. It took so much effort for me to get that white heart out too! Maybe I shall try it again soon because I just will not believe that a highly sought after polish like Hole Hearted is sub-par.<br />
<br />
So! I have been slightly late but this was an interesting nail art no? Once again! If you have not already go take a look at my Facebook store and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lust-For-Nails-Store/327357983982565">give it a like</a>! Hi all! As I mentioned in earlier posts, I went to China last week for a holiday with my family and I didn't have time to do my nails before going so I grabbed two colors from my mini Nice Stems collection, Hello Kitty nail stickers, a top coat and base coat (of course) and packed it up.<br />
<br />
This was what I came up with. Of course I could have just done a simple manicure but where's the fun in that? As a base color I used OPI's Be a Dahlia Won't You which was a wonderful fuchsia with a slight shimmer a swatch can be found <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/08/opis-be-dahlia-wont-you-swatch.html">here</a>. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR3d7b0as9sfLcDqU1Q4Xzm1a0VFFfNzcNuVvWiaqr_SAdH7IiGDAwBI1u5vjxOlUNepT13nv_8zDfF-qQVM8SAu0TK-gGoQICyytH5XZ-HGHH5iUXcYyjGQLhMM8z784QpBsZO615kqL5/s1600/2012-06-16-11.53.38.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR3d7b0as9sfLcDqU1Q4Xzm1a0VFFfNzcNuVvWiaqr_SAdH7IiGDAwBI1u5vjxOlUNepT13nv_8zDfF-qQVM8SAu0TK-gGoQICyytH5XZ-HGHH5iUXcYyjGQLhMM8z784QpBsZO615kqL5/s320/2012-06-16-11.53.38.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Layered on top of it was OPI's I Lily Love you. Initially I was not overly impressed but after a layering adventure <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/03/layering-with-i-lily-love-you-opi.html">here</a>, I have really fallen in love with this layering polish. Click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/07/opi-come-to-poppy-and-i-lily-love-you.html">here</a> for another nail art that I did with I Lily Love You. This was paired with a konad french tip. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjBEtQTiHLp8q-CEInQ1ifMQHwPKxFwqJEIFqaEpj0kulTpjQccqFEwxSBBK9lIpo5Dlup7EBSG7GnftLFfLGhNEyG8AEbEsoDH4CNVwo60PT86ux_M2tYutQbqrS4IWOKaqipfRze990j/s1600/2012-06-16-12.03.57.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjBEtQTiHLp8q-CEInQ1ifMQHwPKxFwqJEIFqaEpj0kulTpjQccqFEwxSBBK9lIpo5Dlup7EBSG7GnftLFfLGhNEyG8AEbEsoDH4CNVwo60PT86ux_M2tYutQbqrS4IWOKaqipfRze990j/s320/2012-06-16-12.03.57.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Can you see the huge chunky glitter? I love it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello Kitty stickers are irresistible! When you place nail stickers on your nails, place it on the corner away from your thumb. That way it's easier for people to notice ha. :) <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/02/hello-kitty-nail-art.html">Here's</a> another nail art I did using the Hello Kitty stickers. I combined this with Hello Kitty konad stamping hehe. <br />
<br />
This is a really no fuss nail art. Two layers of Be A Dahlia Won't You was all it took to reach opacity, and one layer of I Lily Love You was enough to cover your nails in glitter. After that it was a matter of quickly placing the nail stickers on and putting the top coat. All in all it took me about 10minutes to do, and with my beloved Seche Vite, it dried in 30minutes.<br />
<br />

Hi all! Here's a picture of what I did shortly after the <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2012/06/summer-nails.html">summery nails</a>. I was still in a summer mood so I layered a green crackle over a bright bubblegum pink :) From far the green looks like a baby blue.<br />
<br />
I was planning to put a konad on top of it, but I liked it so much like that I left it that way. Ignore that grey bar at the bottom! The picture got corrupted because I accidentally deleted it and had to have it retrieved ><<br />

Hi guyz! It's been a while and I had a blast in China! Here's what I did for my nails at the beginning of this month. In spite of Singapore not having any seasons I think it does get really hot during the June-July period. Feeling the sunshine, I decided to don a bright color.<br />
<br />
The base color used was Etude House's OR205 from the Petite Darling series, <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/09/etude-house-petite-darling-br305-and.html">here</a> is a link to a swatch I did when I first got it. Loved the way it looks so incredibly smooth. And it is so bright!<br />
<br />
The nail sticker I used was given to me by my cousin, she felt that it didn't suit her so she gave it to me along with other stuff. I was in a rush so that's why I decided on a nail sticker :) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi all! A few days ago I just felt like indulging myself, so I cracked out my super precious Glitter Gal holo in Purple. For a swatch click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/11/nubar-duo-chromes-glitter-gal-3d-holos.html">here</a>. This polish did not disappoint, and I really had a lot of fun looking at the rainbow holos on my nails under the sunlight. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To 'cutify' it up a little, I used my Konad plate S10. I like the cat best hehe the whisker detail is just <i>too cute</i>! Here's a link to a <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/panda-nail-art-face-shop-pp401-with.html">panda nail art</a> that I did using the S10 plate. And here's yet another link to a <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/giraffe-nails-opi-fiercely-fiona-with.html">giraffe nail art</a> that I did using the same plate. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
That's all for now! Have fun with your nail art! In case you missed my last post, I have a 10% discount going on for all nail stickers in my nail store till next Thursday (14th June) while stocks last! <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.327365390648491.88105.327357983982565&type=3">Go get it</a> before the offer ends :) Till next time, Byee~Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-69097522828850379142012-06-07T23:55:00.003+08:002012-06-07T23:55:52.784+08:00Classy nails!: China Glaze Millenium and M61 Konad<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi all! Today I'm showing you what I did for my cousin's wedding this time round. Last year I did another <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/06/pink-and-konad-plate-m80.html">wedding nail art</a> which I wasn't comfortable with. But this time round I really loved it and I received so many compliments. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKQinU_1ozRrPI812XH3kJfl-OJi201U-gN-YvSGvKmjx9hqo_YFwhBdv1ctL2Y8phfgK-w-EaerW4jqzxBIaWeN4sxuFYoBZ1zZG1diplIjUk-wZD1cJUA-n3HhpLqSXbXOxD7ZbJjqek/s320/2012-05-25-23.57.10.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />
I cut my nails short every now and again simply because I cannot stand to have it too long. So while having short nails I took the opportunity to try out a classy full nail pattern from konad plate M61. I have not used it before because it didn't appeal to me but I loved it. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA6T8WWTmly903U1Csw7xXO28bqWoTaPJny29Hm7o7yCsa-n3LV0nZBpVAzpT1tB_hc0QY_4DSOvpP-TBEH3dIl7_sMufjbdeWSn8IckU3uqI6UbCZmBm3mdXrhPJV9dhvhHijvbe7XlAX/s1600/2012-05-25-23.57.57.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA6T8WWTmly903U1Csw7xXO28bqWoTaPJny29Hm7o7yCsa-n3LV0nZBpVAzpT1tB_hc0QY_4DSOvpP-TBEH3dIl7_sMufjbdeWSn8IckU3uqI6UbCZmBm3mdXrhPJV9dhvhHijvbe7XlAX/s320/2012-05-25-23.57.57.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Because I had an anniversary dinner with le boyfriend the day before the wedding, I wanted this to be versatile and go with everything (I was wearing contrasting outfits). So silver and black were chosen. As the base color I used China Glaze's Millenium, a swatch can be found <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.sg/2011/05/china-glaze-millenium-and-m57-konad.html">here</a>. <br />
<br />
That was a few weeks ago, thus far I have been doing my nails consistently and have also been resting them. More blog posts to come! I am currently having a nail sticker sale at 10% off all nail stickers at my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.327365390648491.88105.327357983982565&type=3">store</a> for just this week. Go <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.327365390648491.88105.327357983982565&type=3">show it some love</a> and if you see what you like, do buy something! Hey all! Today I would like to show you my adventures with water decals! :D It was so much fun and once you get the hang of it it's super easy heh. Also they are super cute, and it's as detailed as Konad, but with color! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

As the base I used Come To Poppy from OPI's Nice Stems collection. A swatch and nail art post can be found <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2011/07/opi-come-to-poppy-and-i-lily-love-you.html">here</a>. <br />
<br />
Also took the opportunity to make a video tutorial out of this. I used a different format this time, without any talking but just words and music heh. It's alot easier to edit this way and it didn't take 1 hour like it did the other videos. What do you guys think? I'm quite proud of it heh. <br />

It's been a while since I posted, and I do have exciting things lined up today! So, last week, I went around to filming and editing a gradient tutorial! *clap clap* <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNN7O_4_jeGNnZwrrwoaZOqLOzJHDjLSRPBXrxuAPxw5A5ansf6E2jjYSxf3KWmNTPNMhA7e6Op3CMb3yORz4_yjjC1ZMqnCcnf0I6yVvARJAA28ZiEjDt3B4h_KF9g5zVdWYrV-vOTcxi/s1600/2012-04-30-22.09.46.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNN7O_4_jeGNnZwrrwoaZOqLOzJHDjLSRPBXrxuAPxw5A5ansf6E2jjYSxf3KWmNTPNMhA7e6Op3CMb3yORz4_yjjC1ZMqnCcnf0I6yVvARJAA28ZiEjDt3B4h_KF9g5zVdWYrV-vOTcxi/s640/2012-04-30-22.09.46.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So, to start off with, I had a base color using Etude House's HD nail polish (OR205) in Orange. I have previously a swatch on it, you can check it out <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2011/09/etude-house-petite-darling-br305-and.html">here</a>. To do the gradient I used a favourite of mine, China Glaze's Dreamsicle. A swatch and nail art post can be found <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2012/02/tiger-nails-d.html">here</a>. <br />
<br />
Without further ado, here's my video!<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vMNEhxry8pU" width="560"></iframe>
<br />
<br />
I'm thinking of not talking altogether while doing nail art. It really takes up a lot of my concentration and I sound all distracted and unenthusiastic.<br />
<br />
More photos! I took this right after I finished doing my nails so I didn't have time to scrap off the top coat that got onto my cuticles. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
A blurry shot to shot off the wonderful flashes of colour from Dreamsicle!<br />

<br />
Aaand fun with water decals. I've already filmed that tutorial and I have yet to edit it! Aren't you guys just to excited heh.<br />

<br />
That's all for today! I have to get working on my water decal video editing and do lots of stuff! To buy water decals, click <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.348060051912358.92609.327357983982565&type=3">here</a>. Go ahead, show my shop some love. You know you want to. Till next time, Byee~Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-11238528924620670732012-04-26T23:16:00.000+08:002012-04-26T23:16:05.048+08:00Sea-themed Nails<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi again! Ever since I bought 3D Steel Balls as stock for my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=338634226188274&set=a.327366427315054.88107.327357983982565&type=3&permPage=1">shop</a> I have always wanted to try them. And once again, I decided on a sea themed nail art. Some how sea-themed nail art is the easiest haha. Did one previously <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2011/07/bk-fashion-nail-color-01-swatch-with.html">here</a> you can go check it out if you want :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So anyway! I used China Glaze's Sea Spray (check out swatch/nail art I did <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2011/05/flower-french-tip.html">here</a>) as a base colour and China Glaze's Blue Hawaiin glitter polish for the gradient look. Did it while I was studying. Best time to do gradients by the way, I can put on a layer of polish for each page. And that stops the polish from dragging when you put a new coat of polish on layers that are not that dry. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifOh21Gv8V8WZtfdX72zoghOedBCOfh3WVKiPg_2UFjkIBliGpHTHVC-EcBLWek3v3Fp0uGIeYV-M48L4iSYhedODvjZgoq2KWXqhuWTIPuGnRMqZY0MLoIIHL2JBaDMnAqGRd6PswsFWD/s320/2012-04-23-14.12.52.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is what I ended up with after I put on the steel beads. After the exams I'm really going to put up a tutorial for gradients and apply 3D Steel Balls. Honest. I love that it pops out and seems to stick there on its own. So pretty too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2ENo6Z5wrrZt4jwsJIAG9F6Jgg2MqDqyRdp6VzyQr5-l0Afr_EZ7rAanGAZhUkS-1cIrOwZaAwLodxgX-EzvT0E5Rnhc4eSrWXYlvlsMZd1YZstN2WpS_Q_KMidO_OHKdO5PJHCscotqF/s320/2012-04-23-14.53.26.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a more colour accurate picture. Please ignore the smudges at the edges of my nails. There wasn't that much going on on this hand because I was still getting the hang of it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2NdMqxcKR-88_6JHwFoOG2kggrIcNfIA6jhb7YcRBqx0Bd4Azzudj9RWV5MCQ3dGhCul7mKu_nwz5I39ywnb_xd-xjgAV3s3U41o_jzsloG45FCmJJ6f-cumynNQP227quBUaXkQXsagm/s320/2012-04-23-14.53.31.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And here, is my left hand! My favourite finger (if you can put it that way) for this nail art is probably on my index finger. Very swishy looking if you ask me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQHKKw2Tt_wK4_MC9xolq2V-pXNMR_w9bvzvLmtzocAZHOumD5_OBeVeNzVtX2Nq8lXk9Ik3UQobEc83BLh5Q0VfZUCJbYoI4xIMsGPXh3QyNcSt1synlhGmvutosGOBt9wQTB1FuQavJn/s320/2012-04-23-23.49.33.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a clearer picture. I love it and the gradient really turned out well! So pretty. Can't wait to try it again! Wonder what colours I should use for a gradient tutorial. What do you guys think?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8vwA_oq5aqT540pb6bwZ_c15jZjXB1WzuYUCxU7RBnQ8sn71SimVzTjB6DTiyBnIZCOtZOB71vkdWe1UApNTpM3z5VRQcCE1g2pvcdWpGOqsB7R_cT568-hxjVjOGj5Sxd7chbu-9aqmJ/s320/2012-04-23-23.49.47.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />So that's all for today! I daresay the next nail art will still be a gradient, so that I can film a tutorial. Should I still put the steel balls in then? Hmmm...Before you go, if you're interested in getting the steel balls from me you can go to my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=338634226188274&set=a.327366427315054.88107.327357983982565&type=3&theater">shop</a>, the link takes you straight to the item. Hi everyone! Today features one of my nail art fails. Well, I fell in love with one of the products in my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lust-For-Nails-Store/327357983982565">shop</a>, the black lace nail sticker the moment I saw it and during exam period I thought I'd give it a try!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghEsa_VZ0YzjW8DllUL_5VkduEkGKmvlgU3r0pJ7AD6sQNyJqslh9RGhucRbz6pM9CgYO-p8yhaZf81ByGFYOHrP1E4g5yQ99KWGwkfRvSiEccp04ylwtBZzzvVWL0syzWqi9j6GH_O4vR/s1600/black+lace+sticker.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghEsa_VZ0YzjW8DllUL_5VkduEkGKmvlgU3r0pJ7AD6sQNyJqslh9RGhucRbz6pM9CgYO-p8yhaZf81ByGFYOHrP1E4g5yQ99KWGwkfRvSiEccp04ylwtBZzzvVWL0syzWqi9j6GH_O4vR/s320/black+lace+sticker.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Well, being so stressed out nothing appealed to me. <i>Nothing! </i>Unbelievable considering how many colours I have. So I decided to make it simple and just do a nude with lace french tip look. Except I forgot I needed long nails. And that's how I ended up with this.<br />
<br />
Booo :(<br />
<br />
On the bright side! My next nail art is a screaming success! (to me) Coming in the next post! <br />
<br />Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-47801027095959669222012-04-04T21:45:00.001+08:002012-04-04T21:45:42.153+08:00Etude House Petite Darling with Rhinestones<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hey all! Recently I've noticed alot of girls favouring a pink/nude base with a glitter gradient french tip and rhinestones are the base. Looking at that makes me want to do it too, but I didn't want to use pink. I was in the mood for brown! So I attempted to do it using the brown I got from Etude house. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did not manage to put on the glitter gradient tip because I just couldn't find a glitter that suited this special shade of brown. I did, however find rhinestones that seem to suit this gem of a brown. For a swatch, click <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2011/09/etude-house-petite-darling-br305-and.html">here. </a>So this brown is from Etude House, BR305. And the rhinestones can be bought from my shop, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=338634569521573&set=a.327366427315054.88107.327357983982565&type=3&theater">here</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0m8IqXOjMmx7EPgsudvWf9BdVeXyip-JIA8yU6Ucyw3M_zFZxcreL9ylDbmz0eWatD-B01MNNXcGfa3eSmtAFMusBWXlY60aF1BhfvDtfrxVs3M47ub8y36_sXYvjuVbTQ641-9tPLfO5/s1600/2012-04-04-17.06.36.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0m8IqXOjMmx7EPgsudvWf9BdVeXyip-JIA8yU6Ucyw3M_zFZxcreL9ylDbmz0eWatD-B01MNNXcGfa3eSmtAFMusBWXlY60aF1BhfvDtfrxVs3M47ub8y36_sXYvjuVbTQ641-9tPLfO5/s320/2012-04-04-17.06.36.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Once again, this brown is really something to behold. It's a little watery, but once applied and dried it really looks remarkable. There's nothing else to say. This is my favourite brown of all time. I love the smoothness and flatness of the nail polish and it's just such a unique colour. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I think I might try a sea water themed nail art again. I feel like a blue this time. Maybe when I have time whee~. That's all for today! Two pictures because the color is just gorgeous. I'm not really one for reds, but this was a deep deep metallic red and I think the depth that magnetic effect gives really helps to bring out the nail stickers hehe. <br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love this so much that it makes me want to do this nail art again just looking at the pictures. Well maybe next time. Just to say though, I think magnetic nail polish takes time to master. You have to put on a coat of polish thick enough so that it is is still flowy enough to be attracted to the magnet you place over it...That's hard for me because I always build up the polish in thin coats. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
OK! Now on to the next nail art, which is what I have on now :) See you in the next post! </div>Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-73865102213988103602012-04-04T21:17:00.002+08:002012-04-04T21:17:20.832+08:00Nfu Oh 61 Swatch<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hi all! It's gonna be a short post, I A while ago I bought my very first Nfu Oh! It's a colour 61, which means it's a black jelly with rainbow flakies. These are awesome.<br />
<br />
Usually they'll reflect off a orange, rusty red colour, but from my thumb you can see a little bit of green going in. And under flourescent lights when you angle your nails just right, you get a bright emerald green. Yes, I tried that on the train and it was beautiful.<br />
<br />
I'm so sorry it's not picture heavy, but they chipped before I could take more pictures. I was doing some heavy duty work that day.<br />
<br />
Anyways! There's another blog post coming up, it's about magnetic polish whee!! Seeya in the next post, byee~Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-68691651384868865802012-03-27T23:46:00.000+08:002012-03-27T23:52:01.507+08:00Rainbow nails!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi guys! About a week ago, I did rainbow nails with every intention of making it the best ever! But it was not to be...you'll see why later! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First I started off with a blue base coat from Faceshop. And since I had to go off to tuition I left it like this. Not a bad start right? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC5SxnTPLff_8SF5nc6GJ-Il1Ef8pCpu0efKwz-UQ3RFm9wS7I01n3A2wCKX7jBZBVOQWW_xHbC_3qXNmuIMQDpc91t0nrr20CjUNtutFDmJrjc-u9K-oowTquycL8kJZTGeGFr0zMK-WY/s320/2012-03-19-19.10.56.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<br />
While I tuition I somehow got into my head that I had a cloud shaped konad template...and I was so excited for a rainbow sky themed nail art. Then I got home, and realised that it was something that I considered buying but didn't buy. Nothing else to do but start using my two-way nail brush and pen in all 7 colours, hoping it'll turn out great.<br />
<br />
I ended up with this. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhyphenhyphenU0JScL1w8PnBNuPPgo8mAxa6ClBauhMnItjROliFsLxLmnHXSBLh8ak9vW1cZbLeL313sjuYSGQiZ2_XJhlXjfMrRxaADc-3Y7oj4zDz8ToW0qkabWKJFFFJ7vZsQ5lJBXkQlExG6s3/s1600/2012-03-21-21.29.52.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhyphenhyphenU0JScL1w8PnBNuPPgo8mAxa6ClBauhMnItjROliFsLxLmnHXSBLh8ak9vW1cZbLeL313sjuYSGQiZ2_XJhlXjfMrRxaADc-3Y7oj4zDz8ToW0qkabWKJFFFJ7vZsQ5lJBXkQlExG6s3/s320/2012-03-21-21.29.52.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
What do you think? It's a bit of a fail to me, but from a distance it actually looks quite good so I would say this is not bad. I even have compliments on it from friends and a random nurse at the blood donation centre :) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Just received my very first bottle of Nfu Oh today! Super excited to try it out whee! Till next time, Byee~Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12843590759660087582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930524223164335417.post-21312453628663893252012-03-18T19:23:00.003+08:002012-03-18T19:23:55.464+08:00Layering with I Lily Love You OPI<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi everyone! Today I have some layering goodness for you :) I started hiphop class on Tuesday, so I decided I wanted something edgy yet girly. So to do that, I cracked out the darkest purple I could find, and layered it with OPI's I Lily Love You from their Nice Stems collection. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now I have used I Lily Love You before <a href="http://lustfornails.blogspot.com/2011/07/opi-come-to-poppy-and-i-lily-love-you.html">here</a>, but I was not overly impressed with it and could not understand why it's creating such ripples in the blogosphere among nail buffs everywhere. After today though, I finally understand why.The glitter was really flat and it comes in a multitude of shapes and sizes, also they are wonderfully holographic with flashes with pink, orange, yellow, blue and green. This, folks, is truly a gem.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here is a picture to show you what I'm talking about. The purple is the really cheap $1 ones I got from a pasar malam store. It's deep <i>deep </i>purple, nearly black and has a subtle red shimmer which you can't see here. For a $1 polish it's not bad, I achieved opacity in 3 coats but the fumes are terrible. If you look carefully, you can see the orange and turquoise flashes :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZkOa_MHMmO6rEA9kiUz26_cDL2jxC5UIGnPl9TOoDY01OQ6KqMl962ecp5RbWwiKMwz4oO4BxXRvzd4AFCbbcDK71NA5u5rz6-6-CHuFS1G_FQJAiSC1Ie0nHJA0oXQ-It2E4DPd1J3R6/s1600/2012-03-13-09.17.37.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZkOa_MHMmO6rEA9kiUz26_cDL2jxC5UIGnPl9TOoDY01OQ6KqMl962ecp5RbWwiKMwz4oO4BxXRvzd4AFCbbcDK71NA5u5rz6-6-CHuFS1G_FQJAiSC1Ie0nHJA0oXQ-It2E4DPd1J3R6/s320/2012-03-13-09.17.37.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can see some more shimmer here in the following pictures, flashing yellow. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjZsdH1h4fPeZvUDZIlhbKzjqGgVM8OA5hEkUVjY-sY-3teTeEl6jbo0MUSNtVUO3_MbbSNTaHAO3qirTuwMh__drToKub1ccQsYGNCSmptasfM-0zJaFy0vHMcKxJQ-0jcyou6Lc1aCPw/s320/2012-03-13-09.16.56.jpg" width="320" /></div>
And the picture to end all pictures, beautiful glitter in all it's glittery glory. Took this in the sun while walking to the bus stop. People must think I'm crazy ha. Glitters change color when you change the angle, so it makes phototaking a tad tricky. It is much nicer in real life. Trust me. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiyiYFa80RJ24jS9_X3NjnzRK18Jx6AyAfFuJ1noR4RGc9K26Is3o2mQEMm7A0F3zJgY31pg-9x9hEpPQu-nYxjM3j_44pNhVjwXOqD6O0tII1Vn7i9qamwylNPc8ZoZ7HL9VtCIXch_t2/s1600/2012-03-13-09.38.26.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiyiYFa80RJ24jS9_X3NjnzRK18Jx6AyAfFuJ1noR4RGc9K26Is3o2mQEMm7A0F3zJgY31pg-9x9hEpPQu-nYxjM3j_44pNhVjwXOqD6O0tII1Vn7i9qamwylNPc8ZoZ7HL9VtCIXch_t2/s320/2012-03-13-09.38.26.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
If there's anything bad to say about this, it's that some of the bigger glitters like the super giant ones, tend to stick up beyond the top coat. Also it really doesn't dry shiny so you will need a top coat for that. Other than that though, I will definitely be exploring more with what I could layer this with. Hehe!<br />
<br />
As usual, if you haven't given my shop love yet you can go do it by clicking on the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lust-For-Nails-Store/327357983982565">link</a>, I have new stocks coming in, that includes water decals and konad sets whee! Hi all! Finally after having this wonderful glitter sitting on my drawer for a few months I took it out to use it :D </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a wonderful fine red glitter with chunks of round silver glitter in it. I don't know if I've said it before, but I LOVE the layers that clear glitters give you. Just look at that. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So awesome :) The picture below is a more color-accurate picture. Camera seems to color correct automatically -.-<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
That's all for today! I didn't do nail art with it, cos it's just sooo beautiful and pretty :D If you haven't done so already, go show my shop some love <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lust-For-Nails-Store/327357983982565">here</a>. There's gonna be some exciting things happening next month. You're not gonna want to miss it ;) I shall see you soon. Hi all! I'm in such an orangey mood these past few days. A fellow nail buff actually bought an orange gradient set for me from Korea and when it arrived I just cannot resist trying it straight away! This nail art reminds me of fresh orange juice...which I don't drink anymore because most juices are made of fruit concentrate. Anyways! The glitter in this gradient really reminds me of a sparkly orange drink. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I especially love the middle color, it has these awesome big holo flakes and it's really something special. :D Good thing these bottles are<i> big</i>! </div>

This time I decided to just go for a really simple manicure. But what's the use of a simply manicure if you aren't gonna be distracted by the color eh? To solve this I decided to Glitter Gal's 3D Holographic polish in green.<br />
<br />
Now I have to admit, when I first put it on I was a little bit disappointed at how light that green is. But look! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP4IpcUUSQ-fCLrUuq1VxR02ZuZS2-fB64uv0D3vr5DRoJoGT_46oLane0B9xWIE69dS8uJr2P906sOQFLzLKezh2BE-iIToiAHhBgEUVNoYhEdzJQ64LePqXWzsNn55eg6XJLTLqPqvKh/s1600/2012-02-29-14.38.20.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP4IpcUUSQ-fCLrUuq1VxR02ZuZS2-fB64uv0D3vr5DRoJoGT_46oLane0B9xWIE69dS8uJr2P906sOQFLzLKezh2BE-iIToiAHhBgEUVNoYhEdzJQ64LePqXWzsNn55eg6XJLTLqPqvKh/s320/2012-02-29-14.38.20.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
You can quite literally see rainbows on my nails. I find that pretty awesome. :) It took me three thin coats to get to this. Which is not bad, considering how thinly I put my polish on ><<br />
<br />
Here's a slightly darker picture so you can see just how un-green it is.<br />

It doesn't even matter to me now whether it's truly green or not, it's just so pretty, I forgive it for being so not green it's almost silver. Still love it muchly.<br />
<br />
So, what do you have on your nails at the moment? Anything flashy or are you going through a pastel phase? Let me know! Once again, I've opened up a shop (that's still a Facebook page) go give it some love<a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lust-For-Nails-Store/327357983982565"> here</a>. I'm hosting a giveaway that's available to all countries at the moment, so go check it out and why not just go try your luck? :)<br />
<br />
If you look carefully you'll notice there's a little peel on my index finger...it hurts. Looks like I won't be removing the nail polish anytime soon unless I want to feel like my finger is on fire :/ I might put up some sketches heh.
