Rainbow nails!

Hi guys! About a week ago, I did rainbow nails with every intention of making it the best ever! But it was not to be...you'll see why later!

First I started off with a blue base coat from Faceshop. And since I had to go off to tuition I left it like this. Not a bad start right?

While I tuition I somehow got into my head that I had a cloud shaped konad template...and I was so excited for a rainbow sky themed nail art. Then I got home, and realised that it was something that I considered buying but didn't buy. Nothing else to do but start using my two-way nail brush and pen in all 7 colours, hoping it'll turn out great.

I ended up with this.
What do you think? It's a bit of a fail to me, but from a distance it actually looks quite good so I would say this is not bad. I even have compliments on it from friends and a random nurse at the blood donation centre :)
Just received my very first bottle of Nfu Oh today! Super excited to try it out whee! Till next time, Byee~

Layering with I Lily Love You OPI

Hi everyone! Today I have some layering goodness for you :) I started hiphop class on Tuesday, so I decided I wanted something edgy yet girly. So to do that, I cracked out the darkest purple I could find, and layered it with OPI's I Lily Love You from their Nice Stems collection.

Now I have used I Lily Love You before here, but I was not overly impressed with it and could not understand why it's creating such ripples in the blogosphere among nail buffs everywhere. After today though, I finally understand why.The glitter was really flat and it comes in a multitude of shapes and sizes, also they are wonderfully holographic with flashes with pink, orange, yellow, blue and green. This, folks, is truly a gem.

Here is a picture to show you what I'm talking about. The purple is the really cheap $1 ones I got from a pasar malam store. It's deep deep  purple, nearly black and has a subtle red shimmer which you can't see here. For a $1 polish it's not bad, I achieved opacity in 3 coats but the fumes are terrible. If you look carefully, you can see the orange and turquoise flashes :D
You can see some more shimmer here in the following pictures, flashing yellow.
And the picture to end all pictures, beautiful glitter in all it's glittery glory. Took this in the sun while walking to the bus stop. People must think I'm crazy ha. Glitters change color when you change the angle, so it makes phototaking a tad tricky. It is much nicer in real life. Trust me.
If there's anything bad to say about this, it's that some of the bigger glitters like the super giant ones, tend to stick up beyond the top coat. Also it really doesn't dry shiny so you will need a top coat for that. Other than that though, I will definitely be exploring more with what I could layer this with. Hehe!

As usual, if you haven't given my shop love yet you can go do it by clicking on the link, I have new stocks coming in, that includes water decals and konad sets whee! Till next time, byee~

China Glaze Love Marilyn Swatch

Hi all! Finally after having this wonderful glitter sitting on my drawer for a few months I took it out to use it :D

This is a wonderful fine red glitter with chunks of round silver glitter in it. I don't know if I've said it before, but I LOVE the layers that clear glitters give you. Just look at that.

So awesome :) The picture below is a more color-accurate picture. Camera seems to color correct automatically -.-

That's all for today! I didn't do nail art with it, cos it's just sooo beautiful and pretty :D If you haven't done so already, go show my shop some love here. There's gonna be some exciting things happening next month. You're not gonna want to miss it ;) I shall see you soon. Till next time, Byee~

Juicy Orange Nail Art

Hi all! I'm in such an orangey mood these past few days. A fellow nail buff actually bought an orange gradient set for me from Korea and when it arrived I just cannot resist trying it straight away! This nail art reminds me of fresh orange juice...which I don't drink anymore because most juices are made of fruit concentrate. Anyways! The glitter in this gradient really reminds me of a sparkly orange drink.

I especially love the middle color, it has these awesome big holo flakes and it's really something special. :D Good thing these bottles are big!

Well today is the first time I actually did a video tutorial. All for the sake of publicising my store. Since my targeted group includes nail art beginners, I've created a channel that will provide basic nail art tutorials for all to see.

Here's the video. Please don't laugh at my voice! It's so weird hearing my own voice HAHA!

Till next time, check out my store for that awesome giveaway I told you about, only two days left! Aaand while you're at it might as well go over to my channel and subscribe to it for more immediate updates. :) Have a fantastic nail arty time! Byee~

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Polish (Green)

Hi all! This time I decided to just go for a really simple manicure. But what's the use of a simply manicure if you aren't gonna be distracted by the color eh? To solve this I decided to Glitter Gal's 3D Holographic polish in green.

Now I have to admit, when I first put it on I was a little bit disappointed at how light that green is. But look!
You can quite literally see rainbows on my nails. I find that pretty awesome. :) It took me three thin coats to get to this. Which is not bad, considering how thinly I put my polish on ><

Here's a slightly darker picture so you can see just how un-green it is.
It doesn't even matter to me now whether it's truly green or not, it's just so pretty, I forgive it for being so not green it's almost silver. Still love it muchly.

So, what do you have on your nails at the moment? Anything flashy or are you going through a pastel phase? Let me know! Once again, I've opened up a shop (that's still a Facebook page) go give it some love here. I'm hosting a giveaway that's available to all countries at the moment, so go check it out and why not just go try your luck? :)

If you look carefully you'll notice there's a little peel on my index finger...it hurts. Looks like I won't be removing the nail polish anytime soon unless I want to feel like my finger is on fire :/ I might put up some sketches heh. Till next time, Byee~
