Back to Crackle!

Hi all! Here's a picture of what I did shortly after the summery nails. I was still in a summer mood so I layered a green crackle over a bright bubblegum pink :) From far the green looks like a baby blue.

I was planning to put a konad on top of it, but I liked it so much like that I left it that way. Ignore that grey bar at the bottom! The picture got corrupted because I accidentally deleted it and had to have it retrieved ><

Picture Bomb!

Hi all! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating. School takes up more time than I ever imagined. My lack of presence on this blog, however, does not mean that I have not been doing nail art conscientiously :)

The nail art above is done using my matt black polish (I still don't have regular black polish), and Konad plate M80 using China Glaze's Millenium. During Hari Raya this year, I wore a baju kurong which was black and had identical flower patterns along the seams. Imagine how happy I was when I discovered my Konad plate matched the flower pattern. :D

This rainbow nail art above had been on my mind for a while, I just lacked the guts to do it.  If I could say so myself, I think it turned out surprisingly well. Nearly everyone I met commented on it. This was done using the two-way nail brush and pen.

Here's a slightly clearer look. Excuse the chipping, it had been my my hands for about 5 days. I would say it held up admirably considering I felt the polish was not that great to begin with.

This above is OPI's Play the Peonies paired up with a black crackle french tip. I got tired of the crackle fad really quickly and I confess, I'm not a huge fan.  But! I love this french tip. It looks like a lacy french tip from far.

 Another huge huge <3, Canmake's glitter polish. My cousin gave it to me, saying it did not work for her. I, on the other hand, loved it. It is a wonderful bright bright blue and is so wonderfully glittery. Downside is, I had to put four coats in order to get this above but the depth of the glitter is just spellbinding. There's another shot below to see how sparkly it is. The different sized sparkles really made a difference.

So that's all for today my loyal fans (you are loyal if you still come here after I've gone missing for more than a month). I have more awesome nail polish on my nails at the moment and I just can't wait to share it with you!

China Glaze Peace on Earth and Laushine's Black Crackle Polish

I have been loving all the China Glaze colors I've tried so far. And this one is no different. It's not as pigmented as Millenium, but it still provides really good coverage on the first coat, super pigmented and it's sooo smooth! One thing I would say though is the brushes pick up so much polish, way too much for my small nails so sometimes the coat can be applied too thickly. But other than that, with gorgeous colors, smooth application and great pigmentation, who could ask for more?

This picture is not really the 'true' color for Peace on Earth. It turns out alot more golden-brown in bright artificial light and sunlight. I was slightly disappointed at first, but somehow after the first day I started to see more green.

A couple of days later, I received black crackle polish (among other things) from online. I was so excited I tried out the black crackle immediately and the result was in the first picture above.

Here're the products I used. Do I really need to say what base coat and top coat I used? I always use the same products haha. But anyway, here is what the black crackle polish bottle looks like. It's kinda matte when you first apply it, so you have to put a top coat on to make it black and shiny.

The formula is great! To get smaller cracks you have to apply a thinner coat multiple times. To get bigger cracks, just put a really thick coat. It's so good for me because I don't like overly large cracks. The crackle polish from OPI drifts so far apart that they look like patches of color on your nails. When I get crackle polish, I want cracks, not patches of color. And even with a super thick coat on they don't seem to drift further than that on my index finger.

So ends my post today. Maybe I'll do Konading for real next time! I need to brush my skills again. Byee~
