Minimal Fuss, Maximum Cuteness

Hi all! As I mentioned in earlier posts, I went to China last week for a holiday with my family and I didn't have time to do my nails before going so I grabbed two colors from my mini Nice Stems collection, Hello Kitty nail stickers, a top coat and base coat (of course) and packed it up.

This was what I came up with. Of course I could have just done a simple manicure but where's the fun in that? As a base color I used OPI's Be a Dahlia Won't You which was a wonderful fuchsia with a slight shimmer a swatch can be found here.
Layered on top of it was OPI's I Lily Love you. Initially I was not overly impressed but after a layering adventure here, I have really fallen in love with this layering polish. Click here for another nail art that I did with I Lily Love You. This was paired with a konad french tip.

Can you see the huge chunky glitter? I love it!

Hello Kitty stickers are irresistible! When you place nail stickers on your nails, place it on the corner away from your thumb. That way it's easier for people to notice ha. :) Here's another nail art I did using the Hello Kitty stickers. I combined this with Hello Kitty konad stamping hehe.

This is a really no fuss nail art. Two layers of Be A Dahlia Won't You was all it took to reach opacity, and one layer of I Lily Love You was enough to cover your nails in glitter. After that it was a matter of quickly placing the nail stickers on and putting the top coat. All in all it took me about 10minutes to do, and with my beloved Seche Vite, it dried in 30minutes.

That's all for today. If you're dying to get your hands on my Hello Kitty stickers, click here to check it out. Give my shop a like to receive updates on what I'm doing with my nails and awesome offers that will be coming up! Till next time, Byee~

Nail Art Failure :(

Hi everyone! Today features one of my nail art fails. Well, I fell in love with one of the products in my shop, the black lace nail sticker the moment I saw it and during exam period I thought I'd give it a try!
Well, being so stressed out nothing appealed to me. Nothing! Unbelievable considering how many colours I have. So I decided to make it simple and just do a nude with lace french tip look. Except I forgot I needed long nails. And that's how I ended up with this.

Booo :(

On the bright side! My next nail art is a screaming success! (to me) Coming in the next post!

Adventures with Magnetic Nail Polish!

Hi guys! So, a week ago an online package arrived and I received my cheapo Magnetic nail polish in Red! I couldn't wait to try it out I was so excited! Here are the results. :)

After a while though I decided to use nail stickers on it, and I ended up with this. I think it looks really classy! :) This is what it looks like under the sun.

Two pictures because the color is just gorgeous. I'm not really one for reds, but this was a deep deep metallic red and I think the depth that magnetic effect gives really helps to bring out the nail stickers hehe.

I love this so much that it makes me want to do this nail art again just looking at the pictures. Well maybe next time. Just to say though, I think magnetic nail polish takes time to master. You have to put on a coat of polish thick enough so that it is is still flowy enough to be attracted to the magnet you place over it...That's hard for me because I always build up the polish in thin coats.

OK! Now on to the next nail art, which is what I have on now :) See you in the next post!

Hello Kitty Nail Art!

Hi guyss! I'm so proud of this particular nail art, mainly cos it makes me smile everytime I see it. And it's really soo cute!

Ok so I used Claire's Accessories Mood colour in pink/purple, Etude House's white, aand these Hello Kitty stickers which you can buy from my store here :D

I also used some cheap Konad Black special polish, which was not perfect. The brush is a little wonky but since you're only dabbing it onto the Konad plate it doesn't affect me much.

On to the fun stuff! I painted thumb and ring finger white, and the rest pink. Then I used the Hello Kitty Konad plate to stamp Hello Kitty onto the white nails, and topped it off with the ribbon sticker. :) The effect was really good if I may say so myself.

Then I just used the other stickers to stick onto the pink nails. Hehe it really does make me smile.

Because the white polish was chipping off, so I did a french tip, but polish on the index finger peeled off!! :( So sad.
It was a fun polish while it lasted. I think my polish was chipping so quickly cos my Seche Vite is finishing and I wasn't able to apply it properly. No matter! I shall do this again whenever I'm in the mood to impress. Heh. Definitely something I would do again!

Till next time, happy nail painting! Byee~
