Nubar duo chromes, Glitter Gal 3D Holos and Konading fun!

Hi all!

In the previous post I mentioned that I have bought new nail polish and I can't wait to show all of you! Recently I have discovered a local retailer of quality nail products, she owns an online shop called Mei Mei's Signatures, and she offers Glitter Gal nail polish as well as Nfu Oh's top coats. It's awesome!

Ok so having discovered her shop, I decided to get myself some holographic nail polish. I'm not gonna lie, it did cost a pretty penny but it was a gift from Mr Meep. So..YEY!

Let's move on to the good stuff. I bought two duo chromes from Nubar, Wildlife and Purple Beach, and two 3D Holographic nail polish from Glitter Gal, in Deep Purple and Green. Now I sorta made a mistake at buying Green from the 3D Holo collection, I really wanted a deep green and this looked more like a silver than anything else. But if you look at the swatches, the rainbow holo shows up really well on the silvery surface. Who can complain with holos like these!?

When I got my package I was so excited that I immediately applied all the colours onto my two hands. The above photo is Nubar duo chromes and the below photo is Glitter Gal's 3D holos. Look at the mini rainbows in Glitter Gal's polishes! The only complain I have about the Nubar duo chromes is that it really is only one colours, except when you put your fingers at different angles. I bought Wildlife for the beautiful olive green, really, but usually all I see is the copper. It is still wonderful to apply though :)
I have Purple Beach on my index finger, and Wildlife on my middle finger.
There's Glitter Gal's Green on my pinky, and Deep Purple on my ring finger.

Since you can't really see what the duochrome color is, here are two angled photos of Purple Beach, it's a mixture of a deep grey-green with purple (which you can see at the lower part of the nail).

And here are two angled photos of Wildlife. See what I mean about the wonderful olive green? If only it's like this most of the time. You can see the copper at the lower part of the nail.

I had this mani for about a week and I was really reluctant to remove them cos it was just so pretty! So I jazzed it up with Konad plate M57's zebra print!

Here it is with the Nubar duo chromes :)
An angled view to see a little bit of duo chrome action!
I kinda like having white zebra stripes on dark colours :D

Here it is with Glitter Gal's 3D holo polish! :)
Isn't it just so cute and pretty?!
So that's all for today people! Till next time, byee~

Picture Bomb!

Hi all! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating. School takes up more time than I ever imagined. My lack of presence on this blog, however, does not mean that I have not been doing nail art conscientiously :)

The nail art above is done using my matt black polish (I still don't have regular black polish), and Konad plate M80 using China Glaze's Millenium. During Hari Raya this year, I wore a baju kurong which was black and had identical flower patterns along the seams. Imagine how happy I was when I discovered my Konad plate matched the flower pattern. :D

This rainbow nail art above had been on my mind for a while, I just lacked the guts to do it.  If I could say so myself, I think it turned out surprisingly well. Nearly everyone I met commented on it. This was done using the two-way nail brush and pen.
Here's a slightly clearer look. Excuse the chipping, it had been my my hands for about 5 days. I would say it held up admirably considering I felt the polish was not that great to begin with.

This above is OPI's Play the Peonies paired up with a black crackle french tip. I got tired of the crackle fad really quickly and I confess, I'm not a huge fan.  But! I love this french tip. It looks like a lacy french tip from far.

Another huge huge <3, Canmake's glitter polish. My cousin gave it to me, saying it did not work for her. I, on the other hand, loved it. It is a wonderful bright bright blue and is so wonderfully glittery. Downside is, I had to put four coats in order to get this above but the depth of the glitter is just spellbinding. There's another shot below to see how sparkly it is. The different sized sparkles really made a difference.

So that's all for today my loyal fans (you are loyal if you still come here after I've gone missing for more than a month). I have more awesome nail polish on my nails at the moment and I just can't wait to share it with you!

Till next time, Byee~~

Etude House Petite Darling BR305 and OR205 swatch

Hi all! Today I have brought you a new product. Etude House has been in Singapore for quite some time, but it's pink and ultra-feminine vibe along with pushy sales people have always turned me away. But just a while ago, I came across a small Etude House's stall. Apparently their nail polishes are really cheap if you buy the 'right' ones.

Regular-priced ones will be $2.50 per bottle, and HD ones will cost you a whopping $5.90. I say "whopping" because of the size. It looks like it'll contain less polish than the regular Face Shop bottle.

The ones I bought were the $5.90 ones, I thought the brown was the regular priced $2.50 but it wasn't. They may be pricey, but looking at my nails made it all better.

The orange was a little streaky, but by the 3rd coat I got this color above. It's a beautiful pastel orange and so summery looking. Also, both polishes were very easy to control. I love that.

The brown is so very awesome. It's a metallic brown and it seems to go bronze or taupe depending on the light.

The top photo was taken in direct sunlight, and the other in normal light. Just to show you the dimensions of color.

That's all for today, till next time, Byeee~~
